On the second day of our last week in Tokyo we took a train out to a small town named Ami.
We met up with our pen pal Naomi and she took us on a tour of this giant daibutsu ( giant Buddah ) It is the largest statue in the world.
These Koi were so hungry they were practically crawling out of the water to catch some scraps of food.

A view from inside the head
Ever wonder what’s inside the largest Buddah statue in the world?
Tiny golden buddah statues with peoples names on them.
The view from the lotus
There are hundreds of yen painted to the outside of the statue
